Filming for the BBC at Priory Events

Apache Off Road Racers

The BBC selected Priory Events as a filming venue for a pilot one off for a possible new show that may be run on CBBC (Children’s BBC channel, featuring quizzes, competitions, fun and games, cartoons).

CBBC needed two young people that could drive an Apache off road racing kart around the Priory Events Estate – through woods, ferns, across the fields and around obstacles…stopping and do some Team challenges on the way round and be film doing it at the same time, what a big call for two 12 year olds!

It was a sunny day and the two boys (Lewis and Joshua aged 12 years) that was chosen to drive around and do all the challenges had loads of fun and did a great job all day.

The day started with the BBC team briefing everybody on the intention of the film and what it was to achieve in the day then, They then mounting camera all over the Apache Off Road Kart microphones to the boys and set off to start filming so they could get all the footage they needed from the shoot.

Lewis may share his first name with a very well known F1 racing driver and at times did his best to go as fast as him! what star! Joshua was very focussed getting well in to all the challenges that he needed to do! What we witnessed was all good team work for the pair that just seemed to enjoy driving  around very fast – a pair of stars!!

Priory Events would love to see this become a big hit show on the BBC in the future – especially knowing that they helped in the process to get it launched!
